CCP, when the flaylock is the number one most used sidearm to the point where people are using it as their primary and secondary, perhaps, just maybe you have the signs of an unbalanced weapon on your hands.
Between fused locus grenades, the mass driver, and the flaylock, DUST has been inundated with nothing but explosive spam which is an armor tankers worst nightmare (btw the SCR is the only anti shield weapon besides flux grenades FYI CCP)
I mean I hope it isn't the case but I feel as if you all are just laid back high fiving and saying the game is great while you allow something like the flaylock (God's sidearm of choice) be spammed to death and to add insult to injury, shower DUST's arid lands with fused locus grenades.
When will some common sense kick in and someone realize that hey maybe there's a problem here. |

This is not quite correct. The laser rifle also possesses a damage bonus to shields and a damage reduction to armour. Mind you, it's not particularly effective against either. I agree with you though. The flaylock is too effective for what it is.
Forgot about the laser honestly. Since it has disappeared from use, I forgot of its existence.

No it didn't - the Core and Howlcage are just as OP as ever...even the GN-20 is pretty viable as well. |

I agree with you though. The flaylock is too effective for what it is. Scrambler pistol is also more effective against shield. As for the flaylock, it's on CCP's radar. Been discussing with Wolfman and he's aware it needs to be tweaked. Considering how much the community ***** about it and tends to hate "aim at feet to win" things. I tend to suggest cutting the splash and radius by a lot and instead make it more rewarding when landing a direct hit. As i said in another thread, more like torpedos that do most damage after penetrating the target.
That would be a perfect fix. The damage is fine on the flaylocks, it's the splash damage that is the true issue. Decreasing the splash radius where a direct hit will do the most damage instead of "aim at the feet in the general direction of to win" would greatly alleviate the flaylock spam. |
